Description
Amouage Interlude Man built its reputation on a chaotic, spice-and-incense opening that settles into a leather-oud drydown — one of the most-discussed power fragrances of the last decade. Cindervault by Code Indra follows that same structure in extrait de parfum concentration, so a couple of sprays hold their shape through a long Indian evening instead of fading in an hour.
Fragrance Notes
- Top Notes: Bergamot, Oregano, Pimento Berry — a sharp, herbal-spiced opening
- Heart Notes: Incense, Amber, Opoponax — warm, resinous, slow to unfold
- Base Notes: Leather, Oud, Sandalwood, Patchouli — smoky, grounded, long-lingering
How It Compares to the Original
Cindervault’s note pyramid tracks Interlude Man closely — bergamot, oregano and pimento up top, incense-amber-opoponax at the heart, leather-oud-sandalwood-patchouli at the base all match the original almost note-for-note. The one real omission is labdanum, which Interlude uses in its heart to bridge the spice into the resin; Cindervault skips that step, so the transition from opening to drydown lands a touch more directly and less cushioned than the original.
